We Completed the IRA Funding Transaction Cycle With Today's Rolling Closing

April 24, 2019 - After almost seven weeks of beta testing, we finally completed an end to end transaction cycle using Wefunder's new pay via AltoIRA IRA funding mechanism. It's a game changer because of the shear volume of patient IRA capital that was previously walled off from wefunder, but is NOW AVAILABLE for patient investing in Reg CF offerings.

How To Tap Self Directed IRA Funds

Anyone who has a self directed IRA can NOW INVEST it in our offering via wefunder. To do so simply go to our regular offering page, enter an investment order as usual, but when it comes to payment method select AltoIRA.

Since most wefunder investors don't yet have IRA accounts at AltoIRA, the system will prompt the user to open a new IRA account at AltoIRA, and then AltoIRA will ask how to fund the new IRA account. Should you wish to transfer from another IRA account (like most people will likely), AltoIRA will guide you through a transfer request process. After gathering the necessary transfer request information, AltoIRA will flip the user back to wefunder to complete the investment order.

If all goes according to plan (remember we just concluded the beta test) you will have:

1) successfully entered an investment order in wefunder's system which "knows" it's to be funded from IRA capital sitting at AltoIRA; and

2) successfully opened a new IRA account at Alto, with a transfer request order to fund that account.

From there everything happens behind the scene. Alto reaches out to your IRA account with the transfer request order, striving to efficiently effect the transfer request. Once the transfer is completed Alto moves the IRA funds to wefunder, who in turn matches the incoming cash against the appropriate outstanding order.

The successful completion of an IRA Funding transaction cycle, comes just in the nick of time for Epec - and potential investors. The key factor, is to make sure your investment order is entered in wefunder with the proper amount and with the proper pay via AltoIRA before the close of our offering. The order DOES NOT need to be funded on April 30th, it needs to be entered in wefunder. Once it's entered, there will be plenty of time to fund it.
