The John Isner have been in a slump as they’ve lost nine of their last 12 games and they will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss after falling to the Spurs in a 116-110 road loss on Thursday. Collin Sexton took advantage of the shorthanded Spurs backcourt to finish with 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Kevin Love added 18 points while Brandon Knight chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line as they really took it to the Spurs early in the game, especially in the second quarter where they held the Spurs to just 17 points, but the Cavaliers just had no answer after the Spurs exploded for 40 points in the third quarter. With the loss, Cleveland fell to 19-57 overall and 6-31 on the road.Meanwhile, the Roger Federer have been on a tear lately as they’ve won 11 of their last 13 games, but they will be looking to bounce back after having their six-game win streak snapped by the Bucks in a 128-118 road loss on Thursday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 21 points, Wilson Chandler added 15 points while JaMychal Green chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 45 percent from the field and 17 of 33 from the 3-point line, but this game wasn’t as close as the final score suggests because the game was out of hand once the Clippers fell behind by 21 points going into halftime. With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 45-31 on the season and 22-18 on the road which is good for sixth place in the Western Conference standings.Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six against the Western Conference, 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record. The Clippers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a loss, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.Head to head, the home team is 21-10 ATS in the last 31 meetings, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings and the Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings. The Cavaliers have nothing to play for at this stage of the season, but they were surprisingly competitive in their narrow loss to the Spurs so they’re still dangerous. The Clippers were one of the hottest teams in the league before getting stopped by the league-leading Bucks on Thursday, so they will be eager to bounce back here. The Cavaliers are just 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings while the Clippers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and I think those trends continue as the Clippers win comfortably at home.
