Welcome to Saint Martin: Meet the founders
Hi! We’re Sebastian and Gabrielle Jackson, the husband-and-wife duo behind Good & Well Brands - an emerging portfolio of personal care brands for men across cultures. Our journey began with operating innovative barbershops, but our vision extends far beyond brick-and-mortar retail. We are expanding our portfolio with Saint Martin, a trichology-driven hair care brand focused on solving specific hair and scalp health issues for Black men.
Owning and operating barbershops for over a decade, we’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges that many Black men face in finding tailored solutions for their unique hair and scalp needs. This constant exposure to unmet needs sparked our desire to create a solution ourselves.
With a founding team boasting a combined three decades of hair care experience, we have formed intimate connections with our barbershop clients. We understand their need for a comprehensive solution and have leveraged a trichology-driven approach to address common hair and scalp health issues. Through trichology, we tackle concerns such as hair loss, hair growth, and overall scalp health, recognizing that hair care is a vital aspect of self-care.
We have proven to be trailblazers in the men’s grooming industry. Sebastian has performed over 25,000 haircuts, and has also guest lectured at Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan, and Stanford for his entrepreneurial insights and community building expertise. Gabby is an e-commerce expert, having been an early employee at a DTC consumer startup that she helped grow to $50MM ARR. We are committed to education, personal growth and excellence. We are dedicated to building brands that genuinely listen to the communities we serve, and solving intimately specific problems, consistently delivering exceptional results.

We're not just a startup with a vision; we're veteran operators with a dedicated community and customer base of over 15,000 who count on us to consistently deliver. Proudly rooted in Detroit, we're well positioned and incredibly determined to create value for our community.
Our Commitment to Community:
We are more than a business. We care deeply about the community and culture that shape us. Our commitment to giving back is evident in our significant donations to impactful organizations in Detroit, like the Detroit Justice Center (DJC), which provides legal services and advocates for equitable justice.
During the George Floyd protests, we donated $20,000 of our barbershop profits to the DJC to help bail out Detroiters who were arrested for protesting. We will continue this mission by philanthropically investing a portion of our profits in community organizations. We want to work with our community of stakeholders to identify causes we can support collectively. Our goal is to leverage our community, in addition to capital, for greater impact.
Overcoming Challenges:
Despite consistently facing underestimation and inadequate funding opportunities, which have created significant obstacles, we’ve experienced early success in raising venture capital as a Black family-owned enterprise.

Moreover, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion funds and investment commitments from corporations are diminishing, being eliminated, or were never implemented, adding to the challenges we’ve faced and been fortunate to overcome.
Our Proven Track Record:
Before launching this community round, we raised $891,500 to develop Saint Martin and 10 incredible formulations. We have been through Techstars, partnered with Forbes 30 Under 30, and collaborated with the NFL. We service over 2,000 customers monthly in our barbershops and have accumulated 15,000 email addresses over the last decade. Now, we're raising the final $100,000 of our million-dollar round from professional angel investors and a community of stakeholders like you who believe in our mission, vision, and team.
