RYN adds about 220 bytes of meta data. A RYN file is protected by 3 layers of encryption. 1st, RYN encrypts the plain-text file, and file meta data is added. 2nd, that layer is encrypted, and certain user information is added. 3rd, that layer is encrypted and a GUID is added. Each layer of encryption uses a different unique key. Each inner layer is encrypted by its outer layers. We don’t alter the protected file.
