Larry Tangel has been a cornerstone of Enercon’s journey since 1990, when he began as Marketing Manager. His ascent through pivotal roles in Sales, Engineering, and Product Support culminated in his appointments as General Manager in 2002 and CEO in 2007.  Under his leadership, Enercon has secured major government contracts, including the THAAD Prime Power Unit, and expanded its global footprint, notably introducing Enercon’s “business of families” philosophy to the Asian market with a successful expansion into Singapore. In 2025, Larry achieved a personal milestone by earning dual degrees from Bradley University—a BA in Religious Studies and a BS in Philosophy with a minor in Ethics—reflecting his belief that leadership intertwines technical excellence with moral clarity.
