Phantastes Guild is committed to bringing timeless classic novels to life—stories that have shaped generations and stirred the human spirit across centuries.

Where did the name "Phantastes" come from? George MacDonald, considered the father of fantasy, wrote at age 22 the first adult fantasy published in 1858, called Phantastes: A Faerie Romance for Men and Women.

Slate

A "slate" of film projects in the film industry refers to a group of projects bundled together during development and production for purposes of reducing overhead costs and investment risks. In simple terms, a slate spreads the risk out among several projects, allowing producers (and their investors) to avoid putting all their eggs in one basket (project).

Phantastes Guild, the investment branch of Phantastes Films, is launching with our first slate, which includes our show based on two novels by the classic author George MacDonald, the author of Phantastes, considered to be the world's first fantasy novel. Inspiring C.S. Lewis to create his own world of Narnia, he is considered by many of the world's greatest fantasy authors to be the father of fantasy.

All of our movies and streaming series are professionally produced with standards acceptable to the major studios. The following "previs" trailers are not a reflection of the film production values we use when producing a movie or series intended for major studio distribution. They are for pre-visualization purposes only and have been created using AI generation tools.

All of the Guild's productions are intended for global audiences. Our industry production standards are on par with industry A-list producers, and our co-production partners have the credentials to prove it. Investors' funds enable the development and packaging of our projects, empowering them for the next phases of production and distribution. We aim not only to retain creative control, ensuring fidelity to our stories, but equally important, we aim to partner with A-list producers, directors, actors, and especially major studio distributors.
