Pearl Rolling Company
An ingenious, patented, and all natural rolling paper
Highlights
Our Team
We are disrupting a $2.49 billion industry with patented innovation.
When I first started to smoke, I was captivated by how one social action could bring communities of people together. As my love for smoking grew, I noticed how cumbersome and inconvenient it was to roll your own product (the word "product" will represent whatever you choose to put in your rolling paper, such as tobacco).
*The pictures below show tobacco being rolled in a regular rolling paper.
I Noticed:
1. The product would fall out of the ends of the rolling paper, making a mess.
2. In order to roll the product without it falling out of the ends, the consumer needed to tilt the rolling paper and their body.
3. Sometimes an external tool is necessary to finish filling the rolling paper.
4. Very few companies in the market creates rolling paper packaging that includes both rolling papers AND filters.
As a consumer of this product, I knew the only way to make this process easier for me was to create a product that fixed these customer pain points.
Our patented product:
1. Has a sealed end that prevents the customer's product from falling out and making a mess.
2. Includes a natural "tail" at the end of the rolling paper for customers to grab with one hand. This then allows them to fill the rolling paper with the other hand. The sealed end combined with the built-in tail prevents the customer from tilting in one direction— making the process cleaner, easier, and more efficient.
3. A tool is not necessary.
4. Feedback has shown that consumers with physical disabilities, such as Tourettes syndrome, arthritis, etc., find it easier to roll with our design.
5. Our "one of a kind" packaging allows our company to offer rolling papers AND filters in one product, instead of being sold separately.
We surveyed 241 self-proclaimed "smokers" about our product.
*Survey Process:
This survey was sent to family and friends with the following instructions:
"Please send this [survey] out to anybody that you know that smokes. I need their opinion on a product that my company and I have developed. Since you are receiving this survey directly from me, that means I consider you a friend/family! As my friend/family, I (respectfully) do not want your opinion on my product. The anonymity will help me to obtain only objective responses that have zero bias towards the owner of the company. That also means not to tell anyone who owns the business or who is sending out this survey when telling them to fill it out. Thank you for helping me get the best quality feedback for my product and company."

The current lack of innovation in the "roll your own" (RYO) Tobacco industry has allowed us to find our niche.
Rolling papers have been used as a tool since the mid 1500s. Since this time, entrepreneurs have helped rolling papers evolve by innovating a "zig-zag" dispensing system, denouncing bleached papers for natural fibers or hemp, creating filters to separate your mouth from your product, and inventing the "cone".
For the past 500+ years, none of these entrepreneurs thought to completely change the structure of the rolling paper design. That's where Pearl Rolling Company steps in. Our patented design allows us to be the only competitor in the market with this innovation, which will allow us to have a competitive advantage for the next 15 years.
