Invest in the Future of Local, Secure, and Resilient Energy

A new Department of Energy analysis shows that annual outage hours could soar from single digits today to more than 800 hours per year by 2030—a 100× increase in blackout risk.

This trajectory highlights a dangerous imbalance between growing load demand and shrinking reliable supply.

The U.S. power grid is no longer keeping up with modern demand. As climate events intensify and the rapid growth of AI, EVs, USA manufacturing, home & business electrification, and data centers pushes electricity use to record highs, our aging and centralized grid struggles to deliver power when and where it’s needed most. Outages are becoming more frequent and costly, draining billions in productivity and disrupting critical infrastructure.

Our Solution: Secure, Distributed Energy

America’s energy future depends on local power—systems that don’t break when the grid does. Ovanova is building a nationwide flexible network of distributed energy systems that are local, intelligent, and secure.

  1. Microgrids → local power generation, storage, and control — keeping power on even when the grid goes down.
  2. GridGuardian AI → forecasts load & generation, optimizes performance in real time, defends against cyber threats.
  3. NERDs (National Energy Resilience Devices) → secure, local control at the edge. Autonomous islanding + seamless orchestration across networks.

These technologies work together to reduce grid dependence and give communities more control over their energy.

So, What is a Microgrid?

A microgrid is a small, independent energy system that can generate, store, and manage electricity for a home, school, business, or entire town. They also have the ability to "island" itself from the macro-grid, making it the ultimate local, resilient power source.

At Ovanova, we see microgrids as building blocks for a distributed energy future: power generated closer to where it’s used, controlled locally, and shared across networks. Decentralized, intelligent, and human-focused.

Join us in supporting the shift to local, resilient power.

Meet the PET: A Portable Energy Technology Microgrid Built for Resilience

Each PET is a portable microgrid—a self-contained power station combining solar, battery storage, and generator integration. It transforms its owner into a resilience hub, delivering firm, reliable energy wherever it’s needed most.

We have the PET Spark, PET Ember, PET Flame and the PET Blaze (pictured left to right).

When the grid fails, the PET keeps homes, farms, and emergency facilities powered. When the grid is stable, it stores solar, reduces utility costs, and can even sell excess energy back to the grid.

Here's all the ways to power up with the PET:

More than backup power, the PET is a mobile, revenue-generating microgrid that strengthens communities, supports disaster response, and proves that energy independence can move with you.

The PET Locator App— let's you find, share, and deploy power where it’s needed most, while earning income in the process.

A PET doesn’t sit idle. Even when there’s no crisis, it cuts bills, stores solar, and sells power back to the grid.

Plug-and-play resilience. It ties straight into your home or building, powering loads and reducing peak demand costs.

Always earning, always ready. Disaster or not, your PET stays mission-ready—and income-generating.

SuperCrowd25 Win

Ovanova won top honors from both expert judges and the live audience at SuperCrowd 25 (100+ companies).

Judge & Investor, Paul Lovejoy:

“I’ve been watching you and your team very closely for the last 18 months. Ovanova, you're not a startup. I see you as a very unique CEO. I've never seen anyone that can both mobilize and activate the talents of an entire community the way you have. They all believe in you.
I didn't invest in this venture primarily because of a mobile solar microgrid. I invested in you and the Ovanova team.
"It's hard for me not to want to pick Ovanova just because of the human being John is and the respect he has from his community is unlike anything I've really ever seen. When really researching any startup, it comes down to the founder. And this is a founder. John and his team are incredible. So my pick, it has to be Ovanova.”

The Tech We’re Scaling

At Ovanova, everything starts with security — because if it’s not secure, it’s not scalable. We’re building the tools that make clean energy safe, reliable, and local.

Here’s how the pieces fit together:

  1. PETs (Portable Energy Technology): Think of these as mobile power plants on wheels. They’re solar + battery trailers that can roll into a farm, school, church, or disaster zone and deliver power right away. They prove our technology works in real life, today.
  2. GridGuardian AI: This is the “coach in the cloud.” It monitors energy systems, predicts how much power will be needed, balances supply and demand, and protects against cyber threats.
  3. NERD (National Energy Resilience Device): This is the “brains on the ground.” NERDs give each PET or microgrid local control, so they can run independently or connect together as part of a larger network.

When these three pieces work together, you get a new kind of energy system: secure, distributed, and human-powered.

That’s why our current raise is focused on building 30 PETs.

They’re the fastest way to put this technology to work, generate revenue, and build the foundation for a nationwide distributed energy network.

From physicians to engineers, investors are backing Ovanova because they recognize the growing urgency for secure, dependable energy.
