Who's Oscar?

Born in the Netherlands in the swinging sixties. From a young age, I had a fascination with football (soccer), cars and motorsport.

Unfortunately, watching 'Oranje' - the Dutch national team - get beaten in two consecutive World Cups in the '74 and '78 World Cups left me so deflated, I couldn't bear to watch another game for at least a decade.

After two years of studying Economics at university, I decided to follow my other childhood dream of becoming a Formula One driver.

With some small savings, I moved to the UK and bought a second-hand single-seater racing car. 

My parents thought I'd gone mad...

And with zero experience I joined the British Formula Ford single-seater series armed with a lot of ambition and determination.

After a few years, I realised that with my late start getting into Formula One was becoming a distant dream.

No regrets though, because it scratched my competitive itch.

Since then, I have been on the entrepreneurial journey, from selling automative accessories by mail order in the UK to skincare via E-commerce and retail in Australia.

In between I published the Australian edition of 'F1 Racing', the world's best-selling Formula One magazine.

Launching Team Razors combines my passion for football and Formula One with entrepreneurship.
