I drove more than 2,300 rideshare trips and kept a 5.0 rating the whole way. The conversation in the back seat was always the same. Nobody trusted their mechanic. Everybody had a story about a quote that doubled once the car was on the lift. And nobody knew where their service records were.
That's where My Car Concierge comes from.
I'm Jordan Zanetis. I've spent more than ten years running quality systems in food manufacturing, where every claim has to be documented and every process has to survive an audit. I built My Car Concierge the same way: one written price, on the record, before anyone touches your car.
Car ownership is fragmented, and the trust only runs one way. Maintenance reminders live on sticky notes, service records sit in a shoebox, and when something breaks most people cold-call shops and hope the number they hear is fair. Shops have the mirror-image problem: they pay for ads and lead services that charge them whether or not the customer ever shows up.
You post what your car needs — a repair, or detailing, tint, a wrap, audio, body work — and two or three vetted local shops come back with real bids. You pick on price, ratings and fit, and you get one written price up front.
Under that is a profile for every car you own. Enter your VIN and it builds itself: year, make, model, engine, drivetrain, and any open safety recalls pulled from the federal NHTSA database. It holds your service history, documents and reminders in one place. If you've pulled a code with your own OBD2 reader, type it in and our Car Expert chat tells you what it means in plain English and what the fix typically costs, so you walk into the shop informed.
My Next Car handles the other half of ownership. Compare what you drive now against listings at local dealers, and if you want to talk to one about a specific car, you choose to share your contact details. Your financial situation is never part of what gets shared.
The average car on American roads is almost thirteen years old, the oldest it has ever been, and S&P Global Mobility expects vehicles in the six-to-fourteen-year range — the ones that need the most work — to make up about seventy percent of everything on the road for the next five years. More repairs, on older cars, for owners who have never had a good way to shop for them. At the same time, the federal data that lets a car's profile build itself from a VIN is free and public. The pieces exist. Nobody had put them in the owner's hands.
Shops buy bids in packs, from $10 a bid in the starter pack down to $7 at volume. They pay nothing on the work itself — no commission on the repair, no cut of the invoice — so their incentive is to win the job, not pad it. Dealers list in My Next Car for free and pay a flat monthly fee only in months when a member actually asks to be introduced to them. The rule across the whole platform is the same: we only charge for what we deliver.
The iOS app is live on the App Store. VIN decoding and recall lookup are shipped and were tested against real cars on Hackensack lots. Our founding shop, Alpha Auto Body & Repair in Hackensack, is live on the platform. We operate in New Jersey today, starting in Hackensack, and will expand to Middle Tennessee once the New Jersey network has density. Android is in development.
We are pre-revenue. This is the stage where the network gets built one vetted shop at a time, and that's what we're doing.
Density. Enough vetted shops in each market that every job posted gets real competing bids, and enough members that every shop sees work worth bidding on. That is the whole job for the next twelve months.
Follow us here and you'll be the first to know if we open a round.
Because your car deserves better options. And so do you.
