My name is Karla Vandenberg and I moved from Canada to the U.S many years ago in search of The American Dream! Along the way I married a dairy farmer and together we build a very successful business. One day while watching Oprah I was inspired to open a childrens salon so my Son wouldn't cry while getting his haircut. In 2001 I opened my first Monkey Dooz despite the dairy bankers request to stay home and cook dinner!

It's been quite the journey and along the way there has been countless smiles and fantastic styles that have helped to make a difference in the lives of children. My current two trademark locations have been successful for many years and now Monkey Dooz is a franchise! This is a proven concept and it's a winner in so many ways! A combination of imagination and business that is truly unlike no other.
