Derek and Mateo, the co-founders, reached out to me when I was just starting to use Mav Farm to ask for feedback about the product and service. They spoke to me about wanting to build something that would help everyday people create media and commerce businesses without the need to spend any upfront costs. They built an immersive world that made shopping online fun again yet intuitive enough for individuals and brands to transact. After a few months, I was so impressed with how they were executing that I asked if it was possible to join the vision and invest. At that time, they turned me away. They were taking anymore outside investment. They recently reached out to inform me of the crowdfunding raise and let me know now was my opportunity. I confirmed my interest immediately! Since my beginning with Mav Farm, the team has kept shipping great new product features and built a marketplace that enables so many individuals and businesses to collaborate and transact in this 3D world of geo-drops. Mav Farm is far from a simple marketplace platform. It has the potential to evolve into a much more robust creator, community, media, and commerce platform, and one of the reasons I am investing money now is that I believe it has tremendous potential to take its place among the much larger platforms like Amazon, Google and Bytedance. And it could do so by providing a place for more immersive, cost-efficient, revenue-generating opportunities - an internet beyond and without the perverse incentives created by advertising.
