Memo

MADISON

Four friends. One missing. 48 hours in Brooklyn.

Madison is a campy, fashion-forward comedy adventure following four Black women in Brooklyn. When Farrah misses the crew's monthly brunch, Bobbi, Summer, and Kemi set out to find her sending them across Brooklyn through dance battles, bar fights, unexpected characters, and a bunch of shenanigans.

Madison is about friendship, fun, fashion, and the beautiful chaos of one unforgettable weekend in Brooklyn.

THE VISION

This film is a snapshot of over dramatized Brooklyn that you don't get to see. This film centers Black woman in a ways that has never been seen before outside of a music video!

Madison isn't built around trauma. Joy is the engine of the story.

Inspired by the attitude of Blaxploitation films, the energy of music videos, and the chemistry of great ensemble comedies, Madison creates a colorful contemporary world where Brooklyn becomes another character in the film.

THE FILM

The story takes place over approximately 48 hours as three friends search Brooklyn for their missing fourth.

Each woman brings something different to the mission.

Kemi is the Mind. Organized, judgmental, resourceful, and determined to maintain control.

Bobbi is the Body. A social butterfly who seems to know someone everywhere they go.

Summer is the Soul. Curious, funny, nurturing, and always ready to follow the group somewhere they probably shouldn't be.

And Farrah........ the Sagiterrorist they're desperately trying to find.

Their search becomes an excuse to explore friendship, Brooklyn, and the kind of absurd adventure that becomes a story friends tell for the rest of their lives.

WHY MADISON

There is room for more movies centered on Black women that don't require their characters to suffer in order for their stories to matter.

Madison starts somewhere different:

Let them have fun.

We're building the film first and foremost for Black women while creating an accessible ensemble comedy that can travel beyond its core audience.

The goal isn't to make a movie that lectures its audience.

The goal is to make one they want to watch again.

BROOKLYN IS A CHARACTER

Madison is also a love letter to Brooklyn.

The film is designed around the neighborhoods, people, businesses, fashion, music, nightlife, and energy that make the borough feel unlike anywhere else.

Our current production plan calls for 15 principal photography days in New York City, with an approximately three-week shooting schedule.

THE PRODUCTION

Madison has moved beyond being simply an idea.

The feature screenplay is complete and the project has entered the production-planning stage.

A detailed line-item production budget has been developed covering pre-production, principal photography, talent, locations, equipment, wardrobe, production design, post-production, finishing, music, and festival submissions.

Our current proposed production budget is approximately $1.66 million.

The production has been designed around a focused 15-day NYC shoot.

BUILDING THE WORLD BEYOND THE MOVIE

We don't see Madison as something that begins when the opening credits roll and disappears when they end.

The world naturally creates opportunities around:

Music. Fashion. Dance. Events. Brands. Community.

Our larger vision includes discovering emerging actors, incorporating independent artists into the soundtrack, collaborating with Black-owned businesses and brands, documenting the filmmaking journey, and creating live experiences around the film.

We want audiences to discover Madison before they ever sit down to watch it.

COMMUNITY AS PART OF THE MODEL

We're building opportunities for people traditionally left outside of the filmmaking process to participate in it.

That includes emerging actors looking for their first meaningful role, production assistants looking for their first professional opportunity, independent musicians looking for placement, and Black-owned brands looking for visibility.

Our goal is to build a community around the movie—not simply market to one after production is finished.

THE ROAD AHEAD

Investment will help move Madison through pre-production, principal photography, and post-production toward a completed feature film.

From there, our planned strategy includes festivals, premiere events, distribution opportunities, and a limited theatrical strategy where feasible.

We envision the premiere itself as part of the experience: a Brooklyn celebration that brings together the film, its audience, local businesses, artists, and the community that helped build it.

WHY INVEST

Investing in an independent film carries significant risk, and no financial return can be guaranteed.

What we can offer is a clear creative vision, a completed screenplay, a detailed production plan, and a team working toward turning Madison from a script into a finished feature film.

We're inviting investors to help us build something joyful, stylish, funny, and unmistakably Brooklyn.

Welcome to Madison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YaYYYYYYY
