Music Connects Us. Community Brings Us Together.

GrooveTie is building a location-based music discovery and community platform that helps fans discover independent artists, music, and intimate live experiences around them.

We started in Atlanta with a simple belief:

Independent artists don't just need more places to upload music. They need a better way to find fans, build community, and turn listeners into supporters.

GrooveTie is building that connection.

The Problem

Independent artists have more tools than ever to create and distribute music, but building a real fanbase remains difficult.

Streaming platforms are optimized for listening at scale. Social platforms are optimized for content and attention. Neither is specifically designed around helping independent artists build a local community of people who discover them, follow them, attend their shows, and support them directly.

At the same time, fans are overwhelmed by an endless amount of music and increasingly rely on algorithms to decide what they hear.

GrooveTie takes a different approach.

We are building around location, discovery, and community.

The Solution

GrooveTie helps fans discover independent artists around them and gives artists tools to grow their audience beyond their immediate network.

Fans can discover music and artists, follow artists, and participate in intimate live experiences.

Artists can build their presence on GrooveTie, understand where their listeners are coming from, and connect with fans through the platform and real-world events.

Our long-term vision is to create the community layer around independent music, connecting artists, fans, creators, events, and eventually local businesses in one ecosystem.

Early Traction

We are still early, but GrooveTie is showing meaningful signs of engagement and community activity.

Current traction

1. 1,552 registered users
2. 557 artists
3. 1,500 daily active users over the last 30 days
4. 95 Artists currently have followers
5. 5 artists have hosted GrooveTie mini-concerts
6. Mini-concerts have brought together intimate audiences of approximately 10–20 people

Our user base has also accelerated recently.

Over the last three months, GrooveTie grew by 469 users, representing 195% growth compared with the previous quarter.

We believe the next major opportunity is to turn the artist community we have built into a much larger and more active fan community.

Our Business Model

Our primary monetization today is artist subscriptions.

Artists can subscribe to GrooveTie Pro to access enhanced analytics and tools designed to help them understand and grow their audience.

We are intentionally keeping our initial business model focused.

As the network grows, we plan to expand monetization into additional areas, including:

1. Fan-to-artist subscriptions
2. Ticketing
3. Merchandise
4. Local business partnerships

These are future expansion opportunities. Our immediate focus is proving that GrooveTie can grow a healthy two-sided network of artists and fans.

The Network We Are Building

Today, GrooveTie has built a strong foundation on the artist side of the network.

With 516 artists, our next challenge is clear:

Grow the fan side of the network.

We believe artists give us the supply and community foundation needed to attract fans.

More artists create more music and experiences.

More music and experiences create more reasons for fans to join.

More fans create more value for artists.

That creates the network effect we are working toward.

Our current artist-to-user mix also gives us a clear growth opportunity. Rather than viewing the artist-heavy early community as a weakness, we see it as the first side of the marketplace we needed to establish.

Now we're focused on balancing the network.

Why Atlanta?

Atlanta is one of the world's most influential music cities, with an enormous independent creative community.

We chose Atlanta as our starting market because we are already embedded in the ecosystem and understand the artists, creators, venues, studios, and communities that make the city work.

GrooveTie is designed to grow city by city.

Our goal is to prove the model in Atlanta first, then use what we learn to expand into additional music markets.

The $124,000 Raise

We are raising $124,000 through Wefunder to accelerate GrooveTie's growth on both sides of the network.

The primary job of this capital is simple:

Get more artists on GrooveTie and, more importantly, get more fans using GrooveTie.

We want to move toward:

20,000 users

3,000 artists

These targets represent the next stage of our growth rather than an end goal.

Use of Funds

45% | Artist & Fan Growth

$55,800

Our largest allocation will go toward growing both sides of the GrooveTie network, with a particular emphasis on acquiring and engaging fans.

This includes artist onboarding, fan acquisition campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, content-driven growth, and local market activation.

30% | Product & Engineering

$37,200

We will continue improving the GrooveTie product, focusing on discovery, onboarding, artist analytics, subscriptions, engagement, reliability, and features that make it easier for fans to discover and support artists.

15% | Community & Events

$18,600

We will expand GrooveTie's intimate concert and community activation strategy, giving artists opportunities to perform while creating real-world experiences that bring fans into the ecosystem.

10% | Operations

$12,400

Operations will support accounting, legal, software, administrative expenses, and the infrastructure required to operate and grow the company.

What We Want This Capital to Accomplish

The $124,000 is not simply about adding more users.

We want to use the capital to prove a repeatable growth model.

Our key objectives are:

1. Grow toward 20,000 users
2. Grow toward 3,000 artists
3. Significantly increase the number of active fans
4. Increase the number of artists with followers
5. Grow paying artist subscriptions
6. Increase MRR
7. Expand intimate GrooveTie events
8. Strengthen Atlanta as our first core market
9. Build the foundation for expansion into additional markets

The ultimate goal is to create a healthier balance between the artist and fan sides of the platform.

The Team

Olumide Olatawura | Founder & CEO

Olumide is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and entrepreneur who has spent years working directly within the creative and music ecosystem.

He founded The Lyrical Parlor, a cinematic music performance platform, and has worked with independent artists and creators through production, live experiences, and content.

That experience led to GrooveTie after seeing firsthand how difficult it is for independent artists to build lasting relationships with their audience.

Olumide brings the creative, community, and music-industry experience behind GrooveTie.

Shoaib Shaikh | CTO

Shoaib leads GrooveTie's technology strategy, engineering architecture, infrastructure, and product development.

Together, the founding team combines technology, product development, filmmaking, artist relationships, and firsthand experience building within the independent music community.

Why Now?

Music discovery is changing.

AI is making it easier to create music, generate content, and produce enormous amounts of media.

As the amount of digital content increases, we believe human connection and community become more valuable, not less.

Fans still want to discover real artists.

Artists still want real fans.

And local communities still want places where people can experience music together.

GrooveTie is building for that intersection.

The Bigger Vision

We don't want GrooveTie to become another place where artists upload music.

We want it to become the community and discovery layer for independent music.

A place where a fan can discover an artist nearby, listen to their music, follow them, attend an intimate performance, support them directly, discover other creators, and eventually discover the local businesses and experiences connected to that community.

We are starting with music.

We are building community.

And we believe that community can become the foundation for a much larger creative ecosystem.

Music Connects Us. Community Brings Us Together.
