GMSO research vessels can be used for many different studies: Ocean acidification; harmful algal blooms; ocean mapping; marine mammal assessments; fisheries stock assessments; wind farm environmental evaluations; dive operations to evaluate coral reefs; discover and study archeological sites and ship wrecks; Arctic; support new technology development; and general ocean exploration.
