Serial entrepreneur in economic consulting, automotive safety, and marine technology. Launched OBCS to develop solutions that reduce hurricane intensity and sequester CO2 in the ocean. Holds multiple patents related to artificial upwelling
Hurricane Katrina inspired me to pump cold water to the surface in mass to lower hurricane intensity. That idea proved difficult to monetize. Still, I learned along the way that my invention could artificially upwell cold nutrient-rich seawater to the surface to grow phytoplankton that sequesters CO2, now a much-needed service for our planet.
