Thanks for your investment. We are not currently a public company and so we are not traded or defined by a symbol on any exchange. Do you base your research on any theory of aging? Thoughts on Mikhail Blagosklonny quasi-programmed hyperfunction theory of aging?

We like the model to explain aspects of why aging occurs in organisms. in many ways, this model is indistinguishable from a well regarded classic model of aging, known as antagonistic pleiotropy (AP). While supported by experimental evidence, the theory by itself is generally regarded as being insufficient to comprehensively explain lifespan and or aging. AP though is considered an important part of what is a certainly a complex phenomenon.

Thanks for your interest. As you suggest, we focus on aging mice for our initial mammalian studies in part because they are the most economical and accessible of the established pre-clinical models.

One of the founders is full time, the other two founders currently devote part of their time to Gerostate. As Gerostate Alpha builds we expect more of their time will be committed to its development and function. We are quite different, in part because we focus directly on aging, instead of on certain candidate pathways (such as the wingless/int pathway) or a single processes (such as cellular senescence), that have been implicated in driving aging.
