Are acorns considered "tree nuts" for those who have allergies in that food category?

Hi Lance, great question. Yes, acorns are tree nuts and should be avoided by those with tree nut allergies. This allergy can be very serious but fortunately is quite rare- affecting less than 1% of the population. All four initial Folk Revival items contain other tree nuts as well- so this is the one group of consumers that Folk Revival is off-limits to.

Thanks for reaching out and for the great question. Each cup of Folk Revival contains 6g of fiber, or 21% DV. Most of this fiber is soluble, and mostly comes from chicory root. The product contains some insoluble fiber from the nuts and seeds as well. I hope this is helpful.

Hi Felix, Great questions! We source our acorns from the Mediterranean region. (That will have to do!). The land is similar to our National Forest system in the US, meaning its largely preserved land but also mixed use. Members of the local communities have the right to harvest their local acorns from these forests and have been doing so for quite some time. As for processing, the acorns are ground and leached.
