Update from our side as we move forward with The Absence of Violet.

After months of preparation, we’ve officially submitted the visa application for our cinematographer, Albert. Immigration is especially nuanced right now, but our case is in, and we’ll have clarity within the next ~15 business days on whether he can join us for the shoot as planned.

On the financing front, our producer Sean is currently in Los Angeles, spending time both on set and in active conversations with potential partners. While some previously expected funds are moving more slowly than anticipated due to organizational processes, this has opened the door to new paths.

One such development: Sean has had promising discussions with Three Point Capital, a reputable finance group that’s very interested in covering the Washington State tax incentive. This will meaningfully reduce risk for our private investors.

At the moment, we’re targeting a March/April shoot window. But we will inform our investors who plan on visiting set well in advance once we lock it down so you can schedule your trip to Port Townsend! I'm looking forward to this.
