🧭 The Team Behind Embarc

Adam Lovingood — Co-Founder

Although this is his first venture in wine hospitality, Adam’s appreciation for wine began when he moved to the Bay Area in 1994 for law school. Exploring Napa and Sonoma sparked a love for wine culture, leading him to earn his WSET Level 2 certification with distinction in 2004. Over the last 30 years, he’s visited dozens of wine regions around the world, continuing to learn and share his passion. Knowing that wine can feel intimidating to many, Adam is excited to help guests discover it in a welcoming and supportive way—at their own pace and on their own terms.

Richard Garcia — Co-Founder

Richard brings over two decades of experience leading operations in hospitality and wellness. His career has taken him from the frozen Midwest to the vibrant heart of San Francisco—where the hills meet the thrill. A lifelong lover of food and travel, Richard discovered a deep appreciation for wine along the way. His passion for exploration and learning continues to grow, and he’s excited to embarc on a journey of discovery alongside the team and guests.
