Why this, why now

Every tax season, the same thing happens. A client emails a document; it gets buried. A transaction needs categorizing; someone does it by hand. I know this because I live it — I run my own tax and accounting practice. So I built the tool I wished I had: one place where the professional and the client work on the same data, where AI handles the repetitive work, and where nothing falls through the cracks. AI is finally good enough to do the busywork while the professional keeps full control over judgment and review. That's the moment DynaTax AI is built for.

What's live today

DynaTax AI reached general availability in February 2026. Real CPAs and their clients use it now. In one workspace:

1. AI bookkeeping — bank sync and automatic categorization with confidence scoring; the professional reviews low-confidence items
2. Document portal — request, upload, and track documents in one place
3. Deduction tracking — mileage, per-diem, and home office with IRS-current rates and Schedule C mapping
4. E-signature — tax forms, engagement letters, and IRS e-file authorizations in-platform
5. Time & billing — time tracking, invoicing, and payments with escrow protection
6. AI tax research — chat-based research across IRS publications with direct citations

It runs on bank-level security: 256-bit encryption and -compliant infrastructure.

Where we're going: from workspace to network

The workspace is the foundation. The bigger opportunity is the community we're building on top of it: a place where small businesses discover and match with the right CPA, EA, or tax preparer, and where professionals build their reputation and grow their practice. The workspace then becomes where that relationship lives and works.

This is our near-term roadmap — targeting launch in June 30th. A great two-sided product becomes a two-sided network, and that's where the durable advantage is: each new professional makes the platform more useful to businesses, and each new business makes it more valuable to professionals.

The team

DynaTax AI is built and led by Chau Tran (Joe), Founder & CEO and a licensed CPA running an active practice in [Amarillo / Round Rock], Texas. The rare thing here is that the founder is also the customer: I designed the full workflow — bookkeeping, payroll, and prep for the 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 — and I use the product in my own practice every day. I secured the DynaTax AI® registered trademark and copyright. A dedicated engineering team builds alongside me.
