The people occupying each larger unit (4 in the case of the townhome, more in the case of our single family homes) each have their own bathrooms and kitchenettes, so distancing or quarantining is actually much easier in our model than it is in a traditional single family home where people are sharing bathrooms and don't have their own private kitchen option. Good question. Existing single family houses and townhouses in urban areas rarely lend themselves to shared ownership, since they were designed for post WW2 families, not multiple adults. New buildings are required. So once you sell your shares for a triditional home does this investment show that the said client was a first time home owner already? If so does it specify that it was a shared coop ownership or will it just show that they previously owned property?

Hi Chandra -- We're using share loans for our member residents, not traditional mortgages. We're still working this out with HUD, but our aim is that participation in Co-Own Company won't preclude people from participating in first time homebuyer programs, but it will allow people to build credit.

I love the concept and the plan. I notice that the jurisdictions listed for offering securities does not include a mention of international jurisdictions. I live in Ontario, Canada - am I able to contribute to this investment?

Yes! Investors do not need to live in the US in order to invest in this project. We're not surprised to see Canadians interested in the project because there are already many co-op, co-housing and limited equity shared housing models in Canada that are similar to this model. We'd also be excited to expand to Canada with the right partners!
