Disrupt death with Clozure

Despite the inevitability of death, approximately 68% of people die without any will or formal legacy plan in place.

"But I already have a will..."

Even if you have a will, many decisions about your service are made before the will is located or read. 52% of families don't know where the will is.

So, 'Aunt Berta' writes your obituary, organizes your service, invites whom she wants, and chooses the music...all without your input!

Lack of proper planning is not because people don’t care—it’s because they don’t know where to start.

End-of-life planning today is:

  1. Overwhelming and fragmented
  2. Legal-heavy and jargon-driven
  3. Time-consuming and emotionally uncomfortable

Without a plan, your family will be asked to confront complex legal, medical, financial, and emotional decisions all at once, often through disconnected professionals and static documents. For most people, the process feels so intimidating that they postpone it indefinitely—until it’s too late.

The results of which are:

  1. Families are left scrambling during moments of grief
  2. Critical wishes are undocumented or lost
  3. Disagreements & emotional trauma compounded by administrative chaos

In short, processes are fragmented and lack a single source of truth, which causes your loved ones extra grief at the worst possible time.

Clozure exists to remove that paralysis by turning an overwhelming, avoided process into something guided, human, and doable—one step at a time.

Clozure is the first end-to-end membership-based, end-of-life planning platform, offering:

  1. An AI concierge that guides users through planning with warmth, clarity, and even humor.
  2. A secure digital vault for essential life, medical, legal, and financial information.
  3. Human concierge services to assist families when death or a crisis occurs.
  4. Clozure Care℠: A dedicated estate specialist who helps your next of kin navigate Social Security, claim benefits, close accounts, transfer assets, and prevent fraudulent use of the decedent's identity.
  5. A physical Clozure Card™ that ensures your wishes are respected and your loved ones are contacted in a crisis.
  6. Customizable Legacy Hub: a permanent, “forever page” you create in the app—an alternative to 'traditional' funeral home obituary pages—say what you want, select the photos and memories that best represent you.
  7. A Care Hub activates inside each member’s Legacy Hub for the first 90 days after their passing, turning post-loss support into a practical marketplace. Next of kin can request the products and services they need, while friends and family contribute directly through a registry-style experience for death care. It’s the modern answer to “please let me know if I can do anything” that grieving families actually need.

Unlike traditional estate planning tools, Clozure is:

  1. Always at hand (not just one-and-done documents)
  2. Human-centered (not lawyer-centric)
  3. The answer to 'now what?' after death
  4. Focused on telling your story and preserving your legacy.

You and your family are secure in more ways than one

We use a universal, verified identity layer to confirm that both account owners and designated legacy contacts are real people—reducing fraud, preventing spoofing, and protecting families from identity theft.

Constant improvement of AI and other services

Over time, Clozure aggregates anonymized insights on planning patterns and family follow-through. We use these insights to refine product flows and concierge protocols—improving outcomes in ways new entrants can’t quickly match.

Death care is a $40B+/yr industry growing at ~6% CAGR that has barely changed in decades. In the last five years, DeathTech has emerged as the solution to modernize and democratize this industry, and is an ocean of white space. Baby boomers have become comfortable with digital solutions and their millennial next of kin expect it.

Several factors make this moment unavoidable:

  1. A large aging population
  2. Increased mobility and complex family dynamics
  3. Digitization of identity, assets, and legacy
  4. Cultural shift toward proactive planning and experiential send-offs1
  5. AI enabling scalable, compassionate guidance at low cost

Clozure is positioned to become the modern infrastructure layer for end-of-life planning: a secure hub for directives and legacy, plus guided workflows that make it easier for families to act—before and after a loss.

DTC - Relief from subscription fatigue

Clozure’s revenue centers on a one-time, lifetime membership fee—a model designed to counter subscription fatigue and ensure a plan doesn’t lapse for something families will inevitably need.

(1) Upfront membership revenue across tiers (post-launch initial pricing);

  1. Freemium – Free forever w/ services a la carte.
  2. Essential Tier – $499
  3. Premium Tier – $799, discounts on additional services
  4. Platinum – customizable, starting at $4,999, includes all services
  5. Enterprise – negotiated pricing based on head count, customization, and branding requirements

(2) ARPU-expanding tier upgrades and high-margin add-on services when members want extra help (Clozure Care℠, document notarization, memorial planning, coordination support, estate clean-out facilitation, etc.);

B2B2C - Marketplace

Partner marketplace referral revenue from vetted providers who receive qualified leads;

  1. Funeral Service Providers (FSPs) and event-related vendors pay a 10% of services marketing fee
  2. Insurance Providers (repatriation, life insurance, and final expense policy sales) pay sales commission
  3. Legacy Hub product and service providers

—creating a scalable flywheel where more members attract more partners, improving offerings, and increasing lifetime value.

Additional Long-Term Revenue Stream:

Franchise Model: Clozure's expansion plans include franchising the Clozure Concierge Model to allow us to expand our high-touch Concierge service into additional local markets.

This creates strong LTV expansion, predictable recurring revenue, and multiple paths to scale.

What started with our first client, Tom Sizemore, three years ago has grown to:

  1. 26 families that we have helped plan meaningful send-offs, with several Platinum Memberships sold.
  2. 50 vetted service providers in our network and 5 service partners.
  3. Waitlist of several hundred users expected to be onboarded with the MVP launch in May 2026.
  4. Attention from media outlets and feature pieces written about our Head Concierge, Victoria Burke: East Side ATX, NOVA Lifestyle.

We’ve validated Clozure at several industry events and through deep customer conversations—but death is a topic most people avoid until they’re forced to face it. To get more honest, high-signal feedback, we built a fully immersive, guided meditation experience inside a customized casket (generously provided by our friends at Titan Casket), complete with synchronized lighting and cinematic sound that “transports” participants from the great white light into an imagined afterlife. From that perspective, they reflect on how they want to be remembered—and what loose ends they’d want tied up for the people they love.

The result: conversations that go far beyond the surface, revealing preferences, pain points, and “missing pieces” you simply won’t uncover in a casual chat. We consistently run waitlists for the experience, and it’s become a magnet for vloggers and podcast hosts as well.

Listen to Chris' interview with Ben Seligson at 19:50.

The result from exhibiting at a hand full of shows:

  1. Cross-industry pull, early: We’re seeing strong early interest from first responder benevolent organizations, financial advisors, estate attorneys, wellness communities, and families.
  2. Institutional momentum: We’re in active pilot conversations with employers and other institutional partners exploring Clozure as a benefit and family-support resource.
  3. Real-world distribution channels: We’re building brand presence where trust already exists—community events, Death Cafes, and disaster-preparedness/first responder networks.
  4. Demand driven by lived urgency: Inbound interest is coming from real events and real families navigating complexity—not from hypothetical “someday” planning.
  5. Clear market signal: Clozure isn’t inventing a fear. We’re modernizing an inevitable, already-broken process—and people are telling us they want it fixed.

To replace chaos after loss with coordination—by pairing secure planning with a partner ecosystem that executes, supports, and scales.

Clozure gives families a single place to organize wishes, documents, access, and designated contacts before they’re needed. When a crisis occurs, we don’t just store information—we activate it: guiding survivors through the next steps and connecting them to a curated ecosystem of trusted partners who can deliver the services that follow (from memorial logistics to estate workflows to identity protection and cleanup).

Our vision is a platform that scales compassion and reliability: families get clarity and support when they’re overwhelmed, partners receive qualified, verified demand at the moment of need, and Clozure grows through the backend marketplace relationships that turn coordination into durable revenue.

This is not a niche product. Everyone dies. Most people are unprepared.

We are raising capital to take Clozure from alpha to market-ready launch. Funds will be used to complete product development, strengthen security and trust infrastructure, validate early go-to-market channels, and establish the operational foundation for growth.

Primary uses of capital include:

Product development and launch readiness — refining the user experience, completing core workflows, and preparing the platform for broader public release

Trust, identity, and security infrastructure — building the verification, privacy, and compliance systems required for a platform handling sensitive end-of-life planning information

Go-to-market testing — validating customer acquisition through targeted campaigns, partnerships, and early distribution channels

Partner and marketplace development — building relationships with advisors, attorneys, employers, benevolent organizations, and other backend service partners that expand long-term revenue opportunities

Working capital and operations — supporting lean team execution, customer support readiness, and the foundational systems needed for launch.

Clozure is built at the intersection of five forces that rarely align in one company:
  1. A massive, under-modernized market: End-of-life planning and aftercare is inevitable, recurring, and largely untouched by modern infrastructure.
  2. Real urgency (not hypothetical intent): Demand is triggered by life events—families need help immediately, and they actively seek solutions when the burden hits.
  3. Multiple paths to monetization: We generate revenue from planning subscriptions and from our backend execution layer—trusted partner services delivered at the moment of need.
  4. A cultural shift already underway: Families are moving toward proactive planning, digital tools, and more personalized, experience-driven send-offs.
  5. Founder-market fit: We bring deep domain fluency and operator-level execution in a category where trust and credibility matter.
