Blitz is a no-code tool to build collaborative apps that scale with your organization.

Blitz was born from a strong conviction: the one who understands the business logic should be the one who builds it.We want to change the way people interact with business software. Down the road, every company will build their own set of tailor-made tools and business apps using templates and pre-built components, but no developer resources.

The no-code revolution that was started with products like Webflow and Airtable is here to stay. These solutions have more than 10 years now, they are now facing a lot of legacy. Newcomers such as Retool are more scalable, but they are targeting developers, by helping them build faster - which does not solve the #1 problem: only 0.3% of people know how to code.

The timing is right. No-code is widely adopted. Tech is now mature enough: graph databases allow great performance and scalability, while component libraries - such as Tailwind - make it easy to build interface designers.

The challenge is huge: we are not developing another interface builder, but a database and app builder. And our ambition is massive: become the single platform used by every company to build custom apps to serve the business needs.

We both have shared the frustration of having scaled operations at hyper growth startups with limited developer bandwidth. We saw the value of using no-code platforms and frameworks to accelerate on product delivery.

Leveraging the power of a successful no-code framework

The inspiration:

  • During his experience at PayFit (Gusto-like), Loic helped design the in-house no-code framework that enabled them to become a unicorn.
  • Payroll laws require constant updates. Using this framework, PayFit was able to build and iterate on features and tools really fast and outpaced their competitors.

The secret sauce:

  • After confirming the pain points with 160 user interviews, we turned that abstraction layer into a scalable database and app builder.

Early traction

We have a beta waitlist of 300+ companies, that were attracted though educational content about operations. We also leveraged active business operations and no-code communities for targeted outbound campaigns.

We are building a horizontal product, that can serve many use cases. We have seen though good traction in operations-heavy verticals:
