A lot of people complain about the news being biased and our country being polarized (yes, they are hard problems). You are doing something about it.

I'm liberal but not fanatic. A few years ago I did an experiment. For 6 straight hours I alternately watched Fox news and then MSNBC as I felt they were kind of a match. The newscasters not the stars of the networks as I made sure to watch mid-day. What shocked me more than anything was seeing both news services showing clips of politicians that obviously took place at the same time and realizing that both networks "cherry picked" what part of the politicians message they used. What I found was each side picked the parts of the politician's message that supported their position. I should have known that most politicians aren't as radical as they can me made to appear. Good politicians generally equivocate so as to offend as few people as possible. Sure enough, when I put both sides of these interviews together many politicians didn't seem all that bad. I find that what is currently called "news" often consists of regurgitated talking points, prejudicial opinions, or lip service to research and analysis. Because AllSides is attempting to improve this situation -- I am willing to invest.

I invested in Allsides because there is a growing demand for objective news and Allsides has regular paying customers with solid annualized revenue growth. I also saw that they decided to do a community funding round here on Wefunder first before looking at VC or other traditional funding sources. I love this! It means regular people will have the largest opportunity for investment growth and that Allsides will not be beholden to a group of powerful investors keeping allowing them to maintain unbiased and objective news reporting.
