## Story
Wingspan automatically brings all your health history into one place and delivers actionable reminders and insight into how your care compares to evidence-based standards. The Patient ProblemFractured medical care makes it hard to answer simple questions about your health.93 percent of millennials do not schedule preventive physician visits. Less than half see primary care doctors at all. This means they aren't receiving preventative care, or having anyone looking at the big picture view of their health.54 percent of millennials say they have been diagnosed with a chronic illness. These individuals require (but aren't receiving) attentive, consistent medical care. While 75% of doctors believe they communicate satisfactorily with their patients, only 21% of those patients agree.Wingspan fills that gap.Why Hasn't Anyone Done This Before?Hard to get the dataApple HealthKit has been around for 6 years and is only integrated with 318 (25%) health systems. Wingspan has been around for 10 months and is integrated with 700+ (50%) of health systems in the US. We've used our insider industry knowledge and taken advantage of some rapidly changing regulations to scale insanely fast. Hard to make sense of the dataHealthcare data is messy. The same diagnosis or blood test can be documented in dozens of different ways. Our proprietary, AI-driven mapping infrastructure takes this messy data and makes sense of it - so that you can actually see trends in your test results. We make a point of making sense of your health records so our users feel confident and empowered, not confused or uncomfortable. No one else has been able to build the mapping technology to do this.Amazing! How do I sign up!?With our Wefunder launch, Wingspan is now available to the public.Sign up, answer 5 quick questions, and immediately see what preventative care is recommended for you. Then connect Wingspan to your existing doctor accounts so we can give you more insights. Don't have online accounts with your doctors yet? We help you create them. When we show you your health information, we also explain what it means, so you feel smarter, not stressed. Traction - 700+ health systems, 30% MOM organic user growth In the Bay Area that includes: Kaiser, Sutter, Stanford, and One Medical. This is way more comprehensive (and growing way faster) than Apple Health Kit or other competitors. Our TeamSusanne (founder) got sick at 18 with a complex rare disease that went undiagnosed and untreated for 3 years. She was sent to specialist after specialist, lugging a giant 3 ring binder of her medical records with her. It was not until she took those papers and turned them into a massive spreadsheet that she and her doctor were able to see what was actually going on. She is not only the patient, but also a health tech and data expert - having previously worked in Product for Epic, Athenahealth, and OM1. Research Data MarketFractured clinical data isn't only a problem for patients and providers. That information is also what researchers use to define quality of care or figure out which condition to focus on next. How are we expected to rely on research that is built on top of flawed data?Market SizeThe Patent Registry Data Market is valued at $1B in 2020 and has been growing 12% year-over-year. With Wingspan's approach, we'll be able to bring to market much higher quality, more comprehensive data sets than exist today. What's nextUser growth, user growth, user growth! In beta, we've hit 30% MOM active user growth (or higher!) through referrals alone. Now we're launching broadly, with a goal of acquiring 5000+ users in the next 6 months. Wingspan exists to make it easy for regular people to confidently navigate healthcare and get the care they need - regardless of what health insurance they have or which doctors they see. We're looking to raise 400k to launch and bring Wingspan to everyone.

## FAQ
1. **Is your business model solely focused on selling data or do you intend to monetize without relying on consumers to opt in for data sharing?**
 - We could imagine users paying for additional services, such as: a telehealth call, sending health history to a new doctor, or opting out of contributing their data to research
2. **Great Concept. Can you further describe how you are using AI? What safe-guards do you have in place to reduce / eliminate errors committed by your AI-driven mapping infrastructure? Are you legally liable for errors committed by the system?**
 - Our mapping infrastructure is skewed to be higher precision with lower recall. This means we don't incorrectly map data elements, but we may miss mapping data elements. We use a human-in-the-loop process to catch those misses. Re: liability, the short answer is no. If/when we take on more complex use cases (e.g. sending data to doctors) that may change - but then so would our QA processes!
3. **from an IT security perspective. What types of safeguards do you have in place to prevent data breaches and HIPAA violations when maintaining the patient data?**
 - Hi Robert - Our platform is HIPAA compliant (although it is not actually regulated by HIPAA). We then we layer on additional security measures to keep the data safe - borrowing from best practices across healthcare and financial services.
4. **Dear Fortunato, As a former end user for Epic in healthcare setting. How much access would insurance companies have to Wingspan? Can this eliminate healthcare fraud? Could this make it easier for people to obtain social security benefits? What cost would be associated with an ...**
 - Hi Cassandra! By default, insurance companies would not have access to information in Wingspan. We could imagine insurance companies being interested in purchasing population level (de-identified, HIPAA compliant) data sets. We could also see users exporting their Wingspan data and using that output as their medical records when they applied for benefits - or as a way to send their medical records to a new doctor.
5. **Love this concept, and it resonates deeply with my personal experiences. As far as selling data as the business model, what data is being sold? Is it generalized aggregated data?**
 - Hi Brian - we'll sell anonymized, aggregated data that was compliant with HIPAA de-identification standards. Typically these data sets will include lab results, diagnoses, allergies, procedures, vital signs, immunizations, etc. Thanks for your question!

## Q&A
- Q: Hi Suzanne, I would love to hear more about the montezation plan? i.e. revenue, timeframe, projections, exit...
 - A: Hi Chris - There's a bit of color below the fold on the main page, but the summary is: de-identified (HIPAA compliant, safe, secure, and ethical) clinical data sales. This is a big (1b and growing) market with some pretty low quality products, or some very small very expensive products. I have experience launching data products into this market (can't say much more due to NDA). Wingspan's differentiator would be the quality of the data, the comprehensiveness of the data, and the ability to (safely, securely, with consent) ask clarifying questions of the user to supplement the structured data. There's lots of interesting stuff here, but first comes building a product that users love and introducing them to the platform.
- Q: Any Updates?
- Q: Are there any recents updates haven't heard anything about recent progress
- Q: 3 times I got ignored. I feel very disrespected. This is a horrible company that doesn't care about investors concerns. I'll follow your lead and just ignore this company as well. Not that you care...
- Q: So, just wondering if there are any updates?
- Q: Can you disclose which VC/ angels were in this round? Did they have the same terms as the Wefunder raise? Do you have apps for Iphone/ Android (if not, do you have plans)?
- Q: Hi, Have you considered creating a premium version for users who wish to pay a subscription fee and instead opt out if their data being sold to other companies?
 - A: Yes, we've considered this.
- Q: Hi Susanne, Can you please provide an update on the latest progress on integrations, MAUs and such? Any notable developments between early September and now?
- Q: You answered two other questions posted after mine so u are definitely ignoring me...
- Q: Hi Suzanne, This will become epic for consumer as I can see from my experience of working on healthcare integrations for years. But there will definitely challenges, competition and responsibilities. I wish all the best. Some questions I have- 1) When you say 300+ health systems integrated, you mean every patients of those health systems or just the opted users. Also are you getting all the 2) How do you approach to integrate with new provider. Does your company do that or the users. 3) What is your secret sauce on overtaking Apple on very short amount of time. 4) Since there are so many different sector on clinical diagnosis. How you are going to address those.
 - A: Hi Birun - We're now integrated with 750+ health systems, which means that when our users have seen providers in those systems, we are able to pull those treatment records into Wingspan. We prioritize integrating with health systems requested by our users, but we generally do not require interaction with users or providers to kick off an integration. It wouldn't be prudent to disclose too much secret sauce, but the jist is that I'm more practical about healthcare adopting new technologies, so we're not relying on nascent integration techniques (that are cool and easier to use, but aren't widely adopted). I'm not exactly sure what the 4th question is getting at, but we receive a wide variety of data (diagnoses, lab results, vaccinations, vital signs, etc) and have built a proprietary mapping system to make sense of that data, regardless of the format it comes in.
- Q: It's been a week, are u avoiding my question?
- Q: Is this company still in business? I haven't seen an update in a while.
- Q: what is the status of the company and revenues for 2023
