## Story
Over the past nine years, Wehrloom has grown from our walkout basement into a manufacturing facility and retail store where we harvest and package honey, produce a full line of skin care products, beeswax candles, and are a “winery” focusing on mead.First two hives 2011; Our hives today, 2019Selection of bottled meads. Why our mead sales are heading off the chartsWe realized that most customers come in with an assumption that mead is thick, sweet, and super high in alcohol content, but our meads are different. Dry, lightly carbonated and full of unique flavor combinations, we are able to offer a refreshing retreat. Upon hitting the shelves in spring of 2017, we found ourselves in a constant race to keep up with demand. With projected growth of almost 40% this year, we feel it’s the product to focus on and bring to market in downtown Asheville. How we turn honey into money...Honey is an expensive commodity. Brewers love to use it, but hate the cost. That's where being a beekeeper has a great value. We have access to honey that most don't. But what if you could add some of the purest mountain water to your honey and sell it for even more. At Wehrloom we're able to add 440% to the value of our most expensive raw material, honey, with a little fermentation magic and end up with a wonderful gluten-free adult beverage. Selection of local honey. Our Next Steps...Wehrloom Honey and Meadery is bringing the first taproom dedicated to serving mead to downtown Asheville in 2020. With it’s thriving community, vibrant downtown, and easy access to the wonderful Southern Appalachians, we feel like it’s already home. Use of FundsMost of the Funds will be used to scale production of our products. This will involve purchase of equipment, raw materials, and packaging to get us ready for increased sales. We'll also need to upfit our existing space and hire new employees.Market Growth and OpportunitiesBecause our products appeal to both craft beer and cider drinkers we feel we can win market share from both of these growing categories. We feel our customers are aware of what they put in their bodies and are looking for a premium gluten-free beverage. But wait, what's Mead?Well, we’re glad you asked. While it’s one of the world's oldest fermented beverages, we’re not planning on serving anything dated. Our take on Mead is something new, something refreshing. We’ve pushed the boundaries and created a group of beverages that blurs the lines between beer and wine. Our mead is closest in character to cider and shares its gluten-free qualities, but not as sweet, and with a wider range of flavors. Instead of fermenting apples, we're fermenting honey. Our meads tend to present as light on the palate with a distinctive nose and like the rest of our product line are made using the most wholesome, natural ingredients possible. We are able to offer a product that’s unique, yet approachable. One that has the ability to appeal to a wide range of customers, both beer lovers and wine connoisseurs. And most importantly, one that has patrons coming back for more.Non-Negotiables...These are the values that are important to us, that we’re not willing to budge on.1. We want to retain control of the company and continue to push it in the direction we envisioned. It’s not that we don’t want ideas or feedback, we absolutely do. We’re passionate about Wehrloom and want to see it “bee” it’s best.2. We need to pay our employees a living wage and treat them well. Everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive not just survive.3. We will not use any artificial flavors or colorings. We take pride in offering a high quality products. From our experience it takes high quality ingredients to make high quality finished products. Even if it costs a little more and makes our margins a little smaller, it’s part of what our brand represents.4. We feel it’s necessary to continue to support local beekeepers and ensure that our main ingredient, honey, comes from this region.5. We will continue to support rural communities, like Robbinsville, and keep production of our products in these areas, providing jobs where they’re most needed.6. We love nature and the environment. We have children and want them to have this beauty around them when they grow up. As such, we’re dedicated to keeping a check on waste production, recycling, reusing, and using clean energy whenever possible.Wehrloom - AVLImagine walking into our Asheville location. As you come in you realize the walls are lined with images of the forest. Colorful bee boxes support the bar tops and make up displays and shelving, giving a similar feel to our flagship Robbinsville location. We want you to have a small escape from the city and be able to sit back and enjoy a nice glass of mead in the woods with us. Digital mockup of AVL taproomWhat if our customers could participate? We believe the best marketing is the kind that doesn’t feel like marketing, but makes you feel included. As such, part of our marketing strategy is to get customers excited about the creation of new and exciting flavors. We plan to invite all mug club members to sign up for a once a month mead making event at our Asheville location. We’ll bring some carboys and explore new flavor combination, and be there more as facilitators. We want the participants to have the final say. Who knows, maybe our next production mead will be born out of one of these events. Either way, most are going to come back and bring their friends to try the beverages they helped create.

## FAQ
1. **What are your 1 year , 3 years, and 5 years plans? (EX. Stores?) Will there be other refreshments/product being made in the long term to support company growth?**
 - Alexander, Thanks for the great question. Our first year involves opening a retail storefront and taproom in Downtown Asheville. This is a big step, but one we're totally prepared to take on. By year 3, we want to see a similar storefront and taproom in Atlanta. By year 5 we feel the sky is the limit. Honestly, our remote location has one key advantage that most businesses in the region don't capitalize on. We're 3 hours in the middle of nowhere, but that also means we're 3 hours from everywh...
2. **Would you ever do a kiosk in a mall type setting or a truck for mobility into like a farmers market type thing? Lowers the monetary aspect a lot...**
 - Malls in this area are dying and becoming more like ghost towns, so I think the kiosk for us would not be a good venue. I think our real advantage is getting the opportunity to connect more one on one with customers. Education for a new and unique beverage like ours is super important. The van for mobility on the other hand is a must. It's part of our plan to lease a van, not only for delivery of our products to Asheville, but to allow us to participate in beer and wine festivals. Again we fe...
3. **Curious as to why you chose to go with revenue share and not equity for investors ?**
 - I guess the reasoning is two fold. One, we don't feel we need a ton of capital to make this expansion possible. We have most of the infrastructure in place already and only need to expand our cellaring capacity to be able to make more mead. While having an abundance of money available could have some benefit, we feel running lean and staying on top of controlling costs is a far better option that leads to a more controllable growth strategy. Two, we don't see ourselves as growing this company...
4. **how do i look at my acccount**
 - I believe there is a picture in the top right of the page and when you scroll over it a menu pops up allowing you to see your profile and investments, etc. See if that doesn't get what you're looking for and if not I'll find out. Thanks!
5. **Wholesome. When do you expect to be operating in Asheville? Is part of the wefunder funding for the operating licensures?**
 - Great questions Mark. We plan to open our doors in Asheville around March of next year. We feel this is an ambitious timeline, but gives us enough time to complete the buildout and begin scaling production. We anticipate serving 3X as many customers in Asheville as we do in our current location (or maybe more) and believe the biggest need will be having more products available. As such, almost all of the funds from our WeFunder raise will be used to purchase equipment and raw materials to fac...

## Q&A
- Q: Hello Aron. How are things going? We haven't heard from you in a while. How is the honey beer going?
- Q: What have your revenues been in 2018-2019? how many investors are you allowing to participate?
- Q: Aron, How affected are you by the flooding in Western NC?
- Q: Hi Aron, any timelines for the next payout ?
- Q: Hello Aron, I wam writing to ask when was the last check you released? I am currently disputing with Wefunder. Several companies have made payments and I fear that Wefunder is making accounting errors.
- Q: Hello Aaron, I just wanted to check in with you as I have yet to receive an investor perk or check. Thank you.
 - A: Justin let me check. We had a few returned to us by the post office. Can you send me an address. Thanks
- Q: Any update on the next payment? Thanks
 - A: Dear Cade, I apologize, things have been a little crazy this year. I have been a little behind, but should have a combined Q1, Q2 payout coming through PayPal in the next few days. Thanks
- Q: Hi Aron, Sorry I only noticed now that you have been sending quarterly check out. But can I ask what address you have been sending to for me? perhaps I can email you to ask about this? I don't think i have ever received but also cus I am currently not living in the states, so am afraid i never actually received any of your checks..is it possible to do direct deposits or some sort? Hope to hear from you and hope you guys are feeling better now from covid!
- Q: Hi Aron, I had invested in your jan 2020 fund raising, but noted that my contract doesn’t state any “payment start date”. Is there any reason why that is the case?
 - A: Debayan, I have no idea why it's not on the contract, but can try to find out. But I do know about the repayment plan. We completed our raise the first quarter of this year and are currently planning for the 2nd quarter payouts to go out early next week. It's taken a little bit longer to get set up and we've been chasing our tails a little, with the opening of our new AVL location. We have all the rewards ready to go and checks written. Thanks so much. Aron
- Q: Hi Aron - Congrats on the success so far. Can you share the unaudited 2019 preliminary results, particularly revenue, gross and net margins etc? Thanks-
 - A: Josh, thanks for the question. While we haven't had a chance to account for everything, just a quick adding up of our retail, wholesale, and online business gross numbers looks very good. We're currently at about $336,00 in gross revenue for the year which is awesome. I can try to get you more detailed results in the coming week. Thanks and have a Happy New Year!
- Q: Are you allowed to ship the mead from the investor perks to California? Or do I have to somehow end up in Asheville to collect the reward?
 - A: Adam, all mead perks can ship to you even, in California. Mostly because we aren’t selling it but giving it away so sales tax is taken out of the mix. Great question. Thanks
- Q: Would you ever do a mobile concept? Aka a truck?
 - A: We would love to have a van and participate in beer and wine festivals. It's on our radar and is in the works for next year. The opportunity to introduce new people to our meads and give them a chance to try something different would "bee" awesome.
- Q: Would you seek funding on wefunder again if needed?
 - A: Absolutely. Our experience with WeFunder has been nothing short of fantastic. When my wife and I started the company we wanted it to do good, not only for us but for the world and we saw honeybees as doing just that. Eventually we hired employees and again wanted the company to do good for them. We're committed to paying a living wage and treating our employees like family. With WeFunder we now feel we can extend the good to our customers. We love that it gives our customers an opportunity to be a part of our growth and rewards them financially for their participation.
- Q: Wholesome. When do you expect to be operating in Asheville? Is part of the wefunder funding for the operating licensures?
 - A: Great questions Mark. As such, almost all of the funds from our WeFunder raise will be used to purchase equipment and raw materials to facilitate production growth and none will be used as operating expenses in Asheville. We added an update last week that we've ordered 2 new fermentation tanks which is super exciting. While we won't see these tanks till early next year, it's great to know they're in the works.
- Q: how do i look at my acccount
 - A: I believe there is a picture in the top right of the page and when you scroll over it a menu pops up allowing you to see your profile and investments, etc. See if that doesn't get what you're looking for and if not I'll find out. Thanks!
