Why The Perks Delay & Progress Update

Investors,

Due to a delay on Wefunder's end finalizing your investments in a partial closing of the campaign, I'm delayed in sending out perks to you.  I'm sorry about that - it was my hope to get them out to you before the holidays, but unfortunately the process of doing a partial close is complicated and there have been a few set backs.

Their team has assured me the list will be finalized in the next week, at which point I'll start shipping.  You should receive your perks in mid-January.

While I have you I wanted to share some exciting wins from Q4 which will also roll into Q1 of 2019.

  • We partnered with Hubba.com to facilitate some of our wholesale orders.  Hubba is a platform that helps brands like ours to streamline their direct B2B business by processing payments and keeping track of our shipments.  They too have a sales team and have been working diligently to help build our direct business.  Thanks to their efforts, we're now in 20 new Bodegas in New York City in under a month.
  • Last week we were accepted onto Faire.com, who will introduce our brand  to over 25,000 boutiques and small food retailers throughout the country.   Like Hubba, they will facilitate the orders between TCD and the customer for a small % commission.
We have partnered with Lodee, a distributor in Chicago.  They are helping us with presentations to four medium to large sized chains in the IL market, which include South Loop Market, Whole Foods, Pete's Fresh Market and Mariano's, a Kroger banner.
  • We have partnered with PodFoods, a distributor in San Francisco to distribute our cookies to independent and small chain grocery stores.  They will also manage the SF/Bay Area grocery sales territory in 2019.
  • We've been accepted into Harmon's Grocery (19 upscale natural grocery stores in Utah).  We launch with them in Q1.
  • In Oregon we have started doing business with three distributors and we are in talks with two other distributors called Food Service of America (FSA) and Harbor Wholesale Foods to start in Q1.
  • Our Oregon launch has been going really well.  Our cookies are now available on the following college campuses:
    Reed College
    University of Portland
    Portland State University
    Western Oregon University
    Oregon College of Oriental Medicine
  • We just accepted into University of Oregon for a launch Q1 and are in talks with University of Washington and Southern Oregon University.
  • We are in talks with Barnes & Noble College Bookstores to relaunch our 3oz cookies into their college bookstores in fall of 2019.
  • We will start testing with the following two chains in December and January:

Juice It Up (89 locations) - test has started
PizzaRev (45 locations) - test starts in January

Happy Holidays to you, and  I hope you enjoy your soon to be delivered perks!

    Thanks for your support!
