Hi Wefunder investors!
A little news:
- We have another open house this Saturday, 10/27, 11am–1pm. This could be your last chance to see interior before we start work on the project, so come on through! 374 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY
- I recently met the old Gage & Tollner maitre d', Wade Siler aka Wade Sinclair. He's 92 and as charming as ever. I spent the better part of a day with him, at his apartment in Fort Greene, and then at the old Gage & Tollner space. While there, he volunteered to sing a couple songs a capella — apparently he was a semi-pro crooner after the War — and we caught some on video. If you like big baritones, you've got to check out our Facebook page or Instagram account and watch the video — it'll bring tears to your eyes!
- Speaking of videos, here's a sneak preview of our new one, which we haven't released on social media yet. Here's why I made it: I found that some people I spoke to about Gage & Tollner didn't understand just how much people loved this restaurant, and how important it was in people's lives. So I went to Downtown Brooklyn and asked random people on Fulton Street if they would share their memories of the restaurant. This is the result. I think you'll like it.
That's it for now — please share this video with your friends and family, and keep spreading the word about what we're doing. Together we'll get this done!
Yours,
St. John Frizell
