Friends and Family -- we are excited to include each of you in our pre-launch fundraising phase. During this phase (and for the first $150,000 in dollars invested) friends and family will be able to take advantage of a $5M valuation cap (instead of $6M) and a 15% discount.
As most of you know, we are very confident that as soon as merchants and consumers get their hands on our technology -- that Tyme will quickly become the commerce platform used in the Brick & Mortar world.
Platforms like Wefunder allow us to raise a 'family and friends' round and give that future potential ownership to our closest supporters. Here are some questions that have come up in the last few days that I wanted to address as well:
Q: What is Equity Crowdfunding?
A: Equity crowdfunding allows businesses to raise money from a large group of people at smaller investment amounts. In return, those people get a financial stake in that company.
Q: Is this Kickstarter?
A: No. On Wefunder, you’re not donating; you’re investing. You’re not just a fan, you’re an owner.
Here’s a fun fact: in 2012, Oculus Rift closed a Kickstarter round of $2.4 Million. Two years later, Facebook bought Oculus for $2 Billion. If those Kickstarter backers had invested instead of donating they could have had a 154x return on their investment.
Thank you for being a supporter. And remember...it's go tyme!
Cheers,
Bobby & Marius
