We now have over 500 folks who have invested over $500,000 in our people-powered brewery. We're humbled and honored that so many people have joined the Texas Beer Company team!
If you have friends who'd like to join, it's not too late! There are about 10 hours left before the crowdfunding closes. The deadline is tonight 10:59 PM CST. Please keep spreading the word, and let's finish this crowdfunding raise strong! The more funds we raise, the better we'll be equipped to compete in the increasingly crowded craft beer market.
In full transparency, we want to remind everyone that our startup is a risky investment, and it's a long term deal. If this level of risk or delayed investor return isn't something you're comfortable with, we totally understand. You can still edit your investment before the deadline, and we want everyone to feel comfortable about your investment. We can't make guaranteed, detailed forward operating projections about when the investor dividends will start, and we can safely say it'll be many years away because we'll have to use the initial profits to re-invest in growth and expansion and pay off loans. There have been lots of good questions from investors in the our FAQ section on WeFunder, and we encourage you to read them before tonight's crowdfunding deadline so you're fully informed about your investment. Overall, we're looking for patient, long term investors who also value the community aspects of our small-town, people-powered, solar-powered brewery.
While we fully acknowledge the financial risk involved, we're also more confident and optimistic than ever that Texas Beer Company has Texas-sized potential. Our distribution launch has gone well, and we're about to double our HEB stores next month. We believe our beer and brand will appeal to Texans everywhere, and we hope our crowdfunding investors will also serve as de facto sales reps and help connect us with your local bar managers and store managers. Our next investor appreciation party will be this Saturday, May 5th at 1 PM in Taylor. We'll meet at the taproom at 201 N Main Street for our 2nd Anniversary Party, and then we'll shuttle over to the expansion brewery located at 1331 W 2nd St for a private investor appreciation party at 2 PM. Main Street will be closed off this Saturday for the annual Blackland Prairie Days Festival, and there will be music, food, beer and kids' activities. So bring the whole family to historic downtown Taylor!
Thank you again for joining this journey with us. We have a lot of work to do, but together we have enormous potential. We're grateful to have a Texas-sized grassroots army of crowdfunding investors with us to get the job done, and we're excited to scale up and distribute more beer to thirsty Texans.
