“Grit Grocery provides a tremendous opportunity for Houstonians to access healthy food right in their neighborhoods. My Complete Communities initiative is about improving neighborhoods so that all of Houston’s residents can have access to quality services and amenities, and that includes healthy food. The neighborhood where I grew up, Acres Homes, as well as other areas of Houston, could really benefit from this type of access to local, seasonal food.
