“Oodles Partner Days” Introduce Hundreds Of New Consumers To Our Vendor Partners

Hello Wefunder Investors,

We’ve now concluded the fifth month since Oodles Corporation began our initial financing round with Wefunder, and importantly, the second month since the Wefunder financing was successfully completed and closed.  As in previous months, I wanted to provide you with an update on the many things happening with our Oodles - Deals & Events mobile app, and overall at the company.

Oodles - Deals & Events App To Launch At The University Of California - Davis

In late August, the Oodles - Deals & Events App launched at California State University - Chico, and in late September, returned to the University of Oregon - Eugene for another school year.  The app has performed well at each of these two campuses, with thousands of students enrolled as engaged Oodles users at each University, a number that grows every week.

We are happy to announce University #3 where the Oodles - Deals & Events app will be launched — the University of California - Davis, in the heart of America’s wine country!  Our Business Development team has made multiple visits to the Davis campus since my October update, and are seeing interest and initial success signing up restaurant & other vendor partners to service Davis students via our app.  Between the Thanksgiving break and December holidays, outreach will continue to additional vendors and students to join our campus team, in time for a post-holidays launch.

Engagement with students at the first two Universities continues to grow.  The majority of vendors are now seeing redemption of our offers happening on a daily level, a growth from the weekly redemption levels they were seeing in the previous month.  

We have also conducted several “Oodles Partner Days” at both the Chico & Eugene campuses, since the initial “Free Ice Cream Day” was executed at the University of Oregon in October.  These partner days are an good way for our vendor-partners to create awareness of their establishments with the students at each University, and give them a chance to trial their products.  The students benefit from getting familiar with using the Oodles - Deals & Events app, which drives increased app engagement over time.  Our data shows that many of these students return to vendors once they have trialled the food they offer.  A true win/win/win for all parties involved.

Simplified User Experience Launched In Early November

Based on research conducted with students & vendors via focus groups, in-store visits and one-on-one discussions with students at both Universities where the Oodles - Deals & Events app is available, our product team streamlined the app user experience flow, and launched an updated version of the app in early November, that has a simplified process of consumer click-through from initial vendor deal notification, all the way to in-store deal redemption.  

Both iOS & Android versions of the app were updated with this simplified flow, so if you downloaded an earlier version of the app, please return to the App Store and complete an app update.

The results of this simplified flow are bearing fruit, not just in the increase in engagement I described earlier, but also in the growth of app reviews that Oodles - Deals & Events users at both Universities have provided on both iOS & Android.  Please visit both App Stores to read and experience these reviews on your own.

The development team will not rest on their laurels with this updated flow.  They are committed to continually look for further ways to simplify the user experience, which they will release in future versions of the app.

As you know, this process is a patented protected one, and is what makes Oodles - Deals & Events truly unique and added-value to use.

Metrics Tracking To Plan

It has been two months since the initial Wefunder financing round closed, and in reviewing the growth & metrics we’ve experienced to-date, shows that we are tracking vs the initial expectations we envisoned.  We will provide more detail on these metrics over the next several months, during the time the students are away for the holidays.  In the meantime, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving break with each of your families!
