Hi David, So there could be other people like Rich Evans that have invested more and their payments may not be processed until after this Friday October 27? For example purposes, could this mean that instead of the $213,000 number up there right now, it could indeed already be much closer to the $309K number but the money has not yet been reflected? I just keep thinking that the people that are waiting for some reason to invest may be very upset if they get shut out since $309K is the absolute max on here! Remember everyone, there is LESS THAN A WEEK TO INVEST but for as far as anyone knows it could close any minute, hour or day now before the official deadline!

Hey there, Lee Ann. The total on the page is within a few thousand dollars of the real total that would include amounts like Rich's. So it's not "much closer" to $309k, just a little closer. Also, some investments....uh, how can I put this? They kinda bounce and don't go through. So you could deduct a few grand from the current total to account for that. We haven't started the Facebook ads yet letting more people know it's closing. As soon as those get going you'll see an acceleration of investment. The weekends are always slower -- and the FB ads don't start till Monday. Believe it or not, FB traffic increases during 9-5 work hours because people are goofing around at work on FB. So let's wait till Tuesday to see!

Will there be any token menorah, dreidel or other positive recognition of Chanukah in the movie? If so I might have to add to my investment.

Hey, Avrom. Great question. The short answer is: yes, we plan to. Here's the long answer: The best friend character (who is in 90% of the movie) is quite definitely Jewish. She makes remarks (both serious and humorous) about being Jewish around Christmas. Also, there are two scenes in a Jewish deli and matzoh ball soup has a big moment in those scenes, acting as comfort food for the lead (non-Jewish) character. But the big set piece at the end of the movie involves a big front yard Christmas display the dad builds. Not only are there the usual Christmas icons, but also displays for Jews. Because the dad character wants EVERYONE to feel included! I cannot guarantee exactly what those items will be because it's decided later with the production designer and the art director. But I can tell you that the things you're asking about are in the script right now. And we have no agenda to make fun of any iconography. If I'm not giving you an outright guarantee (even though we plan to have them in the movie), it's because stuff can happen during the shooting and editing and sometimes a particular thing doesn't end up in the final cut. I'm just being honest here. Oh, there's also a scene where a non-Jewish family ends up eating all Kosher food for Christmas dinner. It's hard to explain how that happens, but it's funny and comforting. • Anyway, I hope that answers your question. Whether you increase your investment or not, we still plan to have that stuff in the movie. But an increased investment would be nice ;)

Thank you for the Merry update! So, what is the Regulation D, exactly? Does that mean that, while new investors can't invest $100, investors who already invested $100 will be able to invest as little as a $100 at any given time? Thank you

Adam, Regulation D 506c is for Accredited Investors only as defined by the SEC. Alas, it doesn't mean if you've invested $100 you can invest more.
