Lazy Tree Ranch, a new brewpub concert and events center in Texas Hill Country got a big lift Saturday. We had our groundbreaking event at Lazy Tree Ranch and more than 200 people consisting of neighbors, friends, and investors attended. Guests were treated to free beer, free BBQ and country music by award winning artist Evan Ogden. 

"We were very pleased to have such a nice turnout for the groundbreaking. The event ran from 3PM to 8 PM and comments from our guests were very positive. Even Wefunder investor Bill Smith took a crack at the backhoe and broke up the old pole barn pads. It was a great day!" noted Carl Braun Managing partner. 

Construction on our new brewpub will get underway shortly. A temporary bar was erected in our pavilion. We served up some local favorites and gave guests samples of our new Psychedelic Boo Milk Stout. One guest, a Milk Stout aficionado compared it to Left Hand out of Colorado. A high compliment!

The weather gave us a little rain and a light show for a few minutes and cooled the temp down considerably. Dozens of children played on our 150,000 sq foot lawn,  while adults sat at picnic tables made by our own investors Thomas Stricklin, a master craftsman and wounded warrior and his bride to be Kiki Womac. 

"I want to build a shop out here and hire Wounded Warriors to work on our building and make custom lawn furniture and decorative home furnishings. It will be a great way to help our wounded warriors," said Strick.

An investor event is scheduled for July 22nd from 3-9 PM at Lazy Tree Ranch. 1431 County Road 264 Bertam, TX 78605.
