We are pleased to announce to our WeFunder investors, Apogee the 1st sign language learning system to use motion caption technology for realtime student feedback, with integrated social gaming to make learning fun.

Apogee is an amazing new product we are working on at Veditz which we are planning to begin to launch later this Winter as a premium add to the Veditz platform. As you may know, Veditz was named by EDUCAUSE (the association of university CIO's and CTO's who must know a thing or two about technology) as one of the top 10 education start ups this past year. We've been working on Apogee in our skunk works and we're far enough along that we wanted to share this news on WeFunder.

We expect to price Apogee around $250 per language (e.g. American, Japanese, Chinese Sign Language...) level (Level 1, 2, 3...) course, much like Rosetta Stone prices for spoken languages. Plus a user purchases a specially configured Apogee motion sensor for around $100. So $350 for the first language level and then $250 per each additional language level.

In case you didn't know this, American Sign Language is the 3rd most taught foreign language in USA Colleges, and it is the 4th most used language in the USA. Add in Japan and China (the 2 other sign languages we are goaling to launch with) and this is a very large market potential.

Veditz will soon launch Apogee on Kickstarter to raise pre-orders but we wanted to first launch Apogee to our WeFunder backers in the following way. We are adding a new Investor Perk. Anyone who invests $500 in our WeFunder campaign can choose to receive either the current $500 Investor Perk OR a package of one Apogee motion sensor and one Apogee language/level course. Anyone who invests $1,000 can choose to receive either the current $1,000 Investor Perk OR a package of two Apogee motion sensors and two Apogee language/level courses. And if you invest above $1,000 you will receive whatever Investor Perk you quality for AND a package of two Apogee motion sensors and two Apogee language/level courses.

If you choose the Apogee package you can also have us donate it to a parent or child (deaf or hearing) who is learning a sign language, on your behalf.

If you've already invested at the above levels, you qualify. If you have invested below the above levels and you want to increase your investment you can up to the close of our WeFunder round.
