Print of the Week

MadeSolid wanted to start something new, so we are launching a “Print of the Week” blog post from our users. Your feedback is important to us, and we’ve been receiving numerous emails with pictures of the most amazing prints. We can’t resist not sharing them.

For this week, we wanted to show off a print from James Caruso from Xtreme Creations. Jim printed an amazing flower vase for his wife for Valentine’s Day, one that truly put all the things we printed for Valentine’s Day to shame.

The vase is printed in Clear PET+ material on a MakerGear M2 printer. It was printed using Simplify3D’s single wall corkscrew setting. Under that setting, the bottom layers are printed first. Then, the side wall is printed in one spiraling stand from bottom to top.

The roses themselves were printed in ABS and airbrushed for the final sleek finish. The whole package comes together for a one-of-a-kind product sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

For his awesome work, Jim just won 25% off of his next MadeSolid order!

If you want to give the print a try, you can find their STL files here:

If you want your print in MadeSolid material to be considered for print of the week, send your photos over to [email protected].

Stay tuned next week for our next post!
