New Vorex Resin: Tough Resin now Available

Today we are happy to officially release Vorex Resin – Tough Material for your 3D Printer.

After conducting many mechanical tests and comparing it to other consumer-grade resins, we are very happy with the results. The material has better elongation, flex, tensile, and toughness which will allow your prints to withstand workloads better. It is perfect for functional prototypes, testing wearables, and gadget covers.

Mechanical Tests

Vorex Toughness ComparisonVorex Tensile ComparisonVorex Elongation ChartWe ran in-house mechanical tests on multiple consumer-grade materials to see how Vorex resin stacked up. As you can see from the Toughness chart, Vorex has excelled beyond the competition.

How do we determine toughness? It’s a combination of two mechanical properties: Tensile Stress multiplied by Elongation. Tensile Stress is where you pull the printed material apart and measure how much force was required to break/distort the material. As you can see in the chart, Vorex took the most amount of energy to break.

Elongation is how long the material stretches before deforming. You can see Vorex and our MS Resin excel at this as well. The combination of this plus the tensile stress gives you toughness.

Applications

In terms of real world applications, Vorex is excellent at making parts that require strength and durability. Whether it’s bearing weight, protecting your device, or testing out a wearable, Vorex can increase what’s capable with each print.

Like all our resins, it’s compatible with many SLA printers, including Form1+, Asiga, and B9 Creator. You can purchase $135 a liter and comes in Black and Translucent Orange. You can find it now in our store.
