Keycafe Arrives in London’s ‘Flat’-Sharing Economy

Who?

Keycafe is a secondary service (and convenience…to say the least) that extends a helping hand in the key exchange between Airbnb hosts and their guests. The folks at Keycafe have partnered with local coffee shops to take care of this experience for you. So, after the key drop-off, your work here is done.

The next steps are taken care of by Keycafe. They’ll first attach a fob embedded with an ID that’s unique to your account. This chip will allow you to remotely access – and even manage – your keys through your smartphone. In other words, it allows you to send a digital nod of approval to let the key keepers know when it’s okay to hand ‘em off, whether it be to your Airbnb guests, cleaners, repairmen, what have you. The fob even notifies you when your keys are picked up and dropped back off at the cafe’s lockbox.

The big picture? Less host time and more free time. The bigger picture? All free time…add Guesty into the mix for total Airbnb management services, because we can even manage your Keycafe account for you (as we already do for many of our customers in North America).

For the guests, this kind of extra help erases any confusion for where and when they can pick up keys to your Airbnb. Keycafe even erases any issues posed by vague travel time-frames or missed ETA’s with their special 24-hour locations.

The fine print here is…well, very fine. Keycafe’s basic service is only $7.95 per month, with an additional $1.95 charge each time your keys are picked up.

What?

This key kingdom has arrived at the United Kingdom and is starting to make the ‘flat’ sharing economy of London a whole lot more convenient for hosts and guests alike. This is huge, as it’s now adding European smiles to the happy home sharing customers that it is already servicing in North America.

Where?

Where isn’t it?

Why?

To expand the revolution of carefree hosting even further. Hey, that sounds a lot like what we’re about, too.
