Is 2021 the Year Crypto Finally Goes Mainstream? 🤔

In the early days, crypto was a very niche ecosystem, primarily used by people such as technologists and privacy advocates.

But that seems to be changing as enthusiasm for and adoption of crypto has grown beyond its original audience. Consider the following:

  • The price of Bitcoin is now above $50,000
  • Coinbase has filed for an IPO
  • PayPal is bringing crypto to the masses

Given all this, is 2021 the year that finally crypto goes mainstream?

🔻 In the video below, TransitNet architect Will Coleman and I explore that topic and make our best guess as to when this is finally going to happen. 🔻

As we discuss in the video, regulatory uncertainty could be a major factor that limits the industry from going mainstream. There are also certain pieces of key infrastructure that need to be created for adoption to accelerate in different industries.

In fact, that's why we're building TransitNet, an off-chain title registry for crypto. We believe that being able to establish title will enable companies, institutional investors, and service providers to utilize crypto.

The funding round is still open but it's filling up pretty quickly--we've already passed $1,000,000. So be sure to check it out if you're interested in being part of what we're doing at TransitNet!
