User experience design is a field that I have the utmost respect for. There are several good reasons for this, including:

1. I recognize that the world is a massive place full of billions of people, and most of them are increasingly interacting with software in their day to day lives. Designing something that just makes sense for users to interact with software is an interesting, and never-ending challenge.

2. The competition for our attention continues to intensify. Some of the world's most valuable companies (like my previous employer, Facebook) give their service away for free for the entire purpose of monetizing that attention.

3. I, personally, suck at design.

So when we need to design software interactions for the users of the StackSource platform, we trust the experts.

You may note that our budget after this fundraise includes funds earmarked for additional software design talent in addition to engineering. We're interviewing some awesome UX Design Lead candidates that are going to help us continue to drive home this competency as a company.

Our designers have already been working behind the scenes to prepare fresh, new design of our entire web application, which we'll begin implementing shortly after this fundraise closes. We think the designs are beautiful, and we're excited to roll them out.
