Just wanted to give everyone you a heads up that we are officially closing FILM SCOUT scoring for Sundance 2021 at 11:59 PM this Wed March 3rd. You’ll still be able to see Sundance data in the app after that date, but any scouting you do will no longer affect your score. Once we close scoring, our next step will be to process the scores and release the 2021 leaderboard (and Elite Scout invitations). Stay tuned!

This was a really unique year for Sundance. There were far fewer films in the festival due to the fact that production was shut down most of the year, but the quality of the movies that made it did not suffer! The data generated from SCOUT has been invaluable as always (Variety even wrote an article about it!). We don't know yet if we'll end up with a project out of Sundance, but we’re still in discussions for a couple. We were briefly (for about 5 minutes) in the hunt for CODA, but bidding quickly got out of control on that movie and our partner was priced out of the market before Apple ended up buying it for a Sundance record $25 million. We may not have the bankroll to compete with the big guys yet, but it's clear our SCOUTS have good taste. :)
