Crypto is a relatively new form of finance, and in many ways regulators around the globe are still playing catch up.

Here in the US, some major new rules are being considered. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is looking at a proposal to require crypto exchanges to collect a lot more information from people with self-hosted wallets.

🔻 In the video below, TransitNet architect Will Coleman and I explore this proposed rule, and take a look at the high-level direction that regulation is going. 🔻

Will and I also look at how TransitNet's title registry fits into this rapidly evolving picture. As Will succinctly notes, voluntary industry-created solutions are often the best way to solve problems and abate the need for more regulation.

(P.S. The round is filling up pretty quickly--we've passed $500,000 in a week and a half after our public launch. Fortunately there's still some room left if you're interested in being part of what we're doing at TransitNet!)
