What it means to surpass our first $100K on Wefunder (A message from the CEO)
February 14th, 2021 • On Sunday morning, we passed a key milestone on our WeFunder campaign of raising $100K+ for a total $135K+ raise.
In life and business, I continue to be humbled and inspired by those who support and believe in us.
2020 was a difficult year for all of us. It shaped lives and new consumer behaviors. Many of us became even more tech-savvy using video to communicate with our loved ones and work colleagues. Now, Covid has shaped new behaviors including a significant surge in user-generated video creation and consumption, an increase in the use of QR codes and a massive rise of video-centric platforms like Tiktok, all of which are significant to Vyrill.
When we started the company 4 years ago, we knew that we wanted to re-shape and rethink commerce with video.
But we had not factored for Covid.
We realized that the key to solving video commerce was delivering in-video search, so brands and consumers can instantly find what they are looking for inside the video to assist consumers with their shopping journeys without having to watch videos. Today, we offer one of the best in-video searches in the market and are now expanding to bring that search to content marketing tools such as product pages, search engines and video campaigns.
As Covid continues to reach into our communities, causing economic hardship and personal turmoil, we continue to persevere, move forward and work through it – together. We want to help by creating more jobs and supporting those around us.
Here I am raising our seed round in the middle of a strained economy, and presidential election year, and a global health crisis. It’s been very difficult because EVERYONE, from friends and family to investors are being very cautious about their resources. It’s understandable at every level. As vaccinations roll out, I am hopeful that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

In addition to raising $135K+ on Wefunder, we have raised $635K from other seed-stage angels and VC investors towards our seed-stage round of $2M.
We’ll continue to charge forward building a solid SAAS model through our new Try & Buy feature in Q1, 2021. Brands and retailers will soon be able to try the product for 14 days then upgrade to a paid subscription.
Our goal is to reach $200K+ on Wefunder by end of February 2021. That gives us just short of ten days. With your help, we can make it happen.
