Dr. Johnson is responsible for providing clinical oversight and ensuring that our platform offerings are efficacious and supported by evidence. Dr. Johnson is also charged with building out our Clinical Advisory Board (CAB). Dr. Johnson began his career as an interventional cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist in 2001. Early in his career, Dr. Johnson embraced the concept of aggressive risk factor modification and prevention in his patients, incorporating a host of technologies in the medical imaging, laboratory testing, and nutraceutical arenas to help combat the development of cardiac and vascular disease. Through his diligent research in cardiovascular disease and vascular biology, Dr. Johnson was early to adopt the concept of chronic stress and systemic inflammation as a major cause of cardiac disease, cancer, premature aging, and a host of other chronic diseases. He also authored the book “Understanding Microinflammation: The Common Link Between Aging, Cancer and Coronary Disease,” which provides an in-depth examination of the inflammatory mechanisms behind aging and the leading causes of death worldwide.

Beyond the realm of medicine, Dr. Johnson has also obtained a Masters in Business Administration in Corporate Finance from the Esteemed Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has combined his MD and MBA skill sets in multiple industries including healthcare consulting, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and the specialty laboratory space. He is excited to bring his medical and business experience to One Biosciences as its Chief Medical Officer.
