Dear Investors and SmartGurlz community members,

As we all know 2020 has been a year of challenge. That said, while the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the launch of our Smart Buddies schools launch with Pitsco, our successful summer Camp-in-a-Box program lead us to a new partnership with NYU and an opportunity to enter the $408M online education market.

During the summer and early Fall, we educated nearly 1,000 young learners with our own curriculum and trained partners BlackGirlsCode to run Smart Buddies remote workshops around the country.

We were pleased to be featured on Good Morning, America as a pandemic gift idea and Good Housekeeping, America’s oldest and largest women’s magazine named us One of the Best Virtual Camps this summer. But the press accolades kept on coming with features in Parade, Daily Mom, Brit+Co and on several TV channels including Fox, NBC and ABC affiliates around the country.

Highlights this year include our new partnership with NYU and the National Science Foundation and opportunities to join our newest investment round.

We are currently in negotiation with a TV production house for creating a new entertainment offering that will engage children and families in STEM education.

Our education partner and distributor, Pitsco reports an uptick in sales as schools become more comfortable and familiar with online learning and look for ways to keep kids engaged during the pandemic.

Looking forward to meeting you all in a new series of 2021 Investor sessions.

I wish you and your family safety and good health!

Warmest regards,

Sharmi Albrechtsen, CEO
