Awesome news. A PhD scientist with focus on automotive engineering in the United Kingdom completed an independent 7,500 mile test involving FuelGems fuel additive.

The maximum fuel savings was 9% which is a bit higher than the savings rate FuelGems achieved while testing in an engine test cell.

Particulate matter (soot) was reduced by 6%. (this is different than the 49.5% reduction of unburnt hydrocarbons). Particulate matter is problematic and dangerous to human health. Read about it here. 

Additional excellent result was the engine improved performance/fuel efficiency after FuelGems fuel additive treatment was stopped. This could be the result of FuelGems removing hydrocarbon deposits in the engine. If this is the case, FuelGems added another huge upside to its already wide breadth of benefits: cleaning the engine, and could potentially compete with fuel detergents such as Chevron’s Techron.
