Dear Investors,

As our funding campaign comes to a close on my feature, “Where’s Rose,” I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all and also reflect on my journey here. As we continue to edit the film and make it the best it can, I can’t help but think back to how it began.

As a child growing up in the small town of Waxhaw, NC I lived and breathed film. I was that “kid” who haunted the local library looking for books on cameras/special FX. You could catch me on a school night watching the behind the scenes of Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings”. Being one of seven children I grew up having to entertain myself. In filmmaking, I found an outlet for my burgeoning imagination and a way in which to truly express myself. I made countless films on my Super 8 camera in the woods behind my house and slowly learned through the act of doing. As you all know, dreaming of something is only the first step and with that in mind, I pushed myself to be the very best I could be in this medium. That led me to attend the film conservatory at The North Carolina School of the Arts where I studied film directing and screenwriting. It was there that I met many of my future collaborators and we made our first few feature films. After graduating and moving to LA, I started working on Where’s Rose. I was determined to tell this story and over the next four years, I worked to get it off the ground.

That is where you come in! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me and helping me make what I truly believe is a powerful and thought-provoking story. This is a responsibility that I take very seriously. I have and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that this film is the very best it can be. With your investments, we are making an indie film that is not only terrifying, thrilling, and cinematic but also a story that I believe has the ability to touch hearts.

Thank you,
