New Administration will be Huge Boost for Renewable Energy
Published on Nov 25, 2020
Now that it's official, we can look at what changes we can expect from the Biden/Harris administration regarding renewable energy. There is every reason to expect that the changing of the guard on January 20th will bring new tailwinds to our industry.
* John Kerry has been appointed as a Cabinet-level Special Presidential Envoy on Climate.
* Investment tax credits for solar and wind as well as other incentives for renewables.
* The Biden Climate Plan actually mentions community solar as a part of the solution.
* New FERC chair, named by Biden, likely to institute carbon pricing.
There are many actions President-Elect Biden can take via Executive Order, but there's bi-partisan support for energy legislation to rebuild our infrastructure and create more jobs. It's an exciting time to be in solar!
