Hello WeFunder Investors,

We’ve now almost concluded the second month since the WeFunder third round financing was closed. As in previous months, I wanted to provide you with an update on the many things happening with the OodlesDeals mobile app, and overall at the company.

As I write this update, the CoronaVirus Pandemic has entered its “Third Wave” of severity across all the 50-states of the United States. In Illinois, a Shelter-At-Home mandate has been re-instituted, and California and Oregon are setting daily records of citizens getting infected with the virus.

For our restaurant-partners, the accelerated growth of the Pandemic means that Indoor dining is no longer an option. This adds further strain to the economic difficulties being faced by restaurants in the towns where OodlesDeals is available. Given this unfortunate reality, the entire Oodles management team has doubled-down on the #supportLocal mission we announced several months back, knowing that helping our restaurant-partners across the country revitalize their businesses from the economic devastation they are facing is even more important that ever.

#supportDavis and #supportChico Restaurant Weeks Executed In October

In my last month’s update, I mentioned that plans were underway for two Restaurant Weeks in the month of October, in Davis, CA and Chico, CA respectively.

Both these Restaurant Weeks were executed with help from our local Partner organizations, their logos are included in the above banners. The overall consensus from our restaurant-partners was one of gratitude, and appreciation for the marketing provided to their restaurants during these Restaurant Weeks. The OodlesDeals management team knows that the effects of this Pandemic are going to continue being felt for an extended period of time, and we remain committed to our support of all our customers, both our existing and newly-signed restaurant partners.

In particular, the Oodles Sales team has decided to offer all the customers on our app our service free-of-charge until the Pandemic crisis has passed.

Additional Promotion Plans Underway

Given the appreciation expressed by our restaurant-partners of the Restaurant Weeks executed in September and October and our continued goal of adding new general population users, the OodlesDeals Marketing Team has been busy coming up with new marketing ideas to drive consumer interest and traffic to restaurants on the OodlesDeals app.

The operational risks to the business remain High,
but the OodlesDeals Management Team remains hopeful that with continued new and innovative marketing efforts, we will be able to help our current and newly-signed restaurant partners through the current resurgence of the Pandemic, and be able to stabilize our business as we navigate the dynamically changing safety guidelines issued by state and local authorities in each of the towns where our app is available.

“Quarantine Dating” is the next concept the OodlesDeals Marketing team will execute. The idea of a user inviting their significant other to go — and in this case pick-up food together — fits right within the value-proposition of the OodlesDeals app. In a safe way.

As you know, the SCORCHER process of enabling users to invite others and spend time together is a patented protected one, and is what makes the OodlesDeals app truly unique and added-value to use.

Direct mail campaigns targeting new users in each of the towns where we conduct Quarantine Dating marketing campaigns are also being executed. I will provide detail of the results of these initiatives next time around.

The Oodles Management team is committed to help local communities and restaurants during this time of extreme need — this is our pledge to #supportlocal.

On behalf of Asheesh and the entire OodlesDeals Management team, I ask you to stay healthy, and stay safe during this time of crisis.

We are all in this together.
